Admin account disappearedI set up wife's computer for her as limited, and myself as administrator
priviledges. All of a sudden, my account has disappeared and I can't get it back. I have tried 'restore' and 'recovery' but can't get them to run as wife isn't administrator. I can't even upgrade the operating system with the new vista disks I have as they also need 'admin' permission. Everything I try is blocked due to lack of an account with admin capabilities. What can I do??? Thanks When Windows is Starting (after the Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 7
logos) type F8 constantly till Windows opens the account selector. There you can see an account called Administrator. (If you're using Windows 2000 or previous or Windows 2000 account selector, type Administrator in the username field)
