Deny users the right to delete folders/subfoldersHi,
I have a windows 2000 SBS server. I wish to deny users the right to delete folders/files and subfolders/subfiles from a network drive. I have given the group 'everyone' access to just read and execute, list folder contents, read and write permissions but it does not allow them to 'save as' - they get an error saying the folder is 'read-only' Any one have any ideas? Regards Sean Have you checked the share permissions? If they haven't got write access
there then they'll not be able to write irrespective of what the security permissions are. Jason Sean wrote: Show quoteHide quote > Hi, > I have a windows 2000 SBS server. it is appropriate, by naming multiple newsgroups in one posting, rather than multiple posts. With cross posting there is one thread seen in each of the named newsgroups, so all responses are shared. It is much easier for you and everyone else.
