IIS HTTPS + Windows XPI want to enable secured communicaiton (HTTPS) for my web site. I am using
Windows XP professional SP2 as my development box. In my Web applications settings in directory Security Tab the secured communcaiton setting is disabled...whereas the same setting is enabled on my other machine Windows 2003. How can I enable HTTPS in Windows XP.... Thanks Hi,
You can use SelfSSL tool that comes with IIS Resource Kit. The IIS 6.0 Resource Kit Tools http://support.microsoft.com/?id=840671 Once you download the resource kit and run it on your Windows XP -- in Installation options only select SelfSSL (de-select everything else). Once installed run it on your system and it will ask you about the options (e.g. where to install the certificate etc). -- Show quoteHide quoteMike Microsoft MVP - Windows Security "abcd" <a***@abcd.com> wrote in message news:%23axcUHRgGHA.4940@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I want to enable secured communicaiton (HTTPS) for my web site.
