disabling ssl v2.0I have implemented MS Article ID 187498 to do this. However, when we run
open ssl against our win2003 IIS server to check that the change is made it detects 2.0 as still enabled. Has any one had this issue? IS there another process specifically for IIS 6? I'd appreciate any info. Thnx There is nothing special for IIS6.
IE and IIS both use the same SChannel network stack, so this is why you use the KB to configure SChannel and then magically all network apps on Windows, including IIS and IE, work the same way regarding SSL. I would verify that your settings are made correctly in the right places, that you have rebooted after the change, and independently PROVE that SSL2.0 handshake still works on Windows Server 2003 after doing this. -- Show quoteHide quote//David IIS http://blogs.msdn.com/David.Wang This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. // "mike" <m***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:27A2456F-718C-44A8-BBFD-DA67A4114788@microsoft.com... > > I have implemented MS Article ID 187498 to do this.
