I have IIS on my Windows XP media edition computer.  But when I type
in 'http://localhost" in my browser, I'm asked for a password.  So I
figured that I should check whether my IIS allows anonymous access.
But I can't find a way to manage IIS.  I've heard that there is
something called "IIS manager", but I don't find any such thing on my
computer.
Thanks,
Marvin

Hi Marvin

Checkout Administrative Tools in control panel. You may need to enable
classic mode to see administrative tools.

The tool you want is called Internet Services Manager.

You can also right click on the Computer on the desktop or on the start
menu and select manage. IIS is shown in the services node.

Also see www.iis.net for some help on managing IIS although most of the
content is for IIS 6 and IIS 7
