SSL & The page cannot be displayednow and I'm getting desperate. I'm also running out of time as the site is down at this moment. I hope someone here can give me some input on a possible solution. I have an SSL site which is listening on port 443. When I browse the site from the webserver itself all works just fine. If I browse the site from outsite the web server it displays 'The page cannot be displayed'. There is no host header associated with the site. The machine also hosts the 'Default Web Site' and also host Exchange Server. I have assigned port 8080 to the default website on any IP address. For the SSL site I haven assigned port 80 and 443 on the IP address assigned to the internal NIC. I can connect to the webserver on port 443 using telnet (I used netstat for this). I have used SSL Diagonostics to perform an SSL handshake and it reports that everything is working fine. I try to browse the site from outside using the correct domain name as mentioned in the SSL certificate. If I can connect from the internet to port 443 on the server how is it then possible that it displays that error message? The SSL certificate is valid and has been issued by an third party cetificate authority. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Is the client you are trying this from running Windows XP? Have you tried
from more than 1 external client? I have seen intermitten issues sometimes with Windows XP clients and the page cannot be displayed for SSL pages. Also you mentioned that you have assigned port 80 & 443 to the internal NIC of the server? Does the server also have an external nic to which the public ip address is bound to? Or do you have a firewall and are Nating? Have you verified dns? -PR Show quoteHide quote "Berre" <Be***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C94C306F-06F5-48D1-A1AC-44A70B637212@microsoft.com... > I'm having this huge problem on which I have been working for more than a > day > now and I'm getting desperate.
