Which Unrelated Services to Disable on an IIS 6.0 ServerDoes anyone have a list of services that are unrelated to IIS that should be
shut down? What I mean here is that these should be services that are not needed or required that can be shut down as a means of reducing potential vulnerability for the server as a whole. Thanks in advance. That really depends on what else your server does besides IIS. Here are
the best sources for that: Threats and Countermeasures Guide http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1b6acf93-147a-4481-9346-f93a4081eea8&DisplayLang=en Windows Server 2003 Security Guide http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8a2643c1-0685-4d89-b655-521ea6c7b4db&DisplayLang=en Mark Show quoteHide quote "JayhawkTuba" <JayhawkT***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:867BD497-2281-477E-B5BB-925322DFF2B3@microsoft.com: > Does anyone have a list of services that are unrelated to IIS that > should be > shut down?
