brastk virus doesn't allow to visit legitimate web sitesMy PC was infected by brastk virus and I think I removed the virus (deleted
beep.sys, got rid of karna.dat and brastk.exe, fake svchost.exe in /windows/drivers/etc/, cleaned up registry etc). However, I am not able to surf to any legitimate anti-virus web sites. When I run "tracert" command to these web sites (Eg: tracert www.norton.com), it is being re-routed to my localhost. Apparently, there is some file containing the list of all anti-virus software web sites is being fed to the svchost.exe or some other relevant file. How do I find this list, and get rid of it? I checked my HOSTS file in /windows/system32/drivers/etc directory, but it is clean. Any help is appreciated.
