Users permissionsI have an access database and want to give table update permissions to 2
users only. I created a group with these permissions and put the users in the group but the permissions do not work. The only place I have been able to grant these update permissions is in the default user group and of course I do not want it there because that is where all my users are. I have tried using some of the other predefined groups with the predifined premissions and none of them work. HELP! JS You can't take shiortcuts with security (as mentioned alll the time in this
newsgroup.) You need to read and reread the security FAQ. Then make a backup of your database, then follow ALL the steps. Security FAQ http://support.microsoft.com/?id=207793 The Security Whitepaper is also worth reading to help you understand. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=148555 Joan Wild: www.jmwild.com/AccessSecurity.htm Lynn Trapp http://www.ltcomputerdesigns.com/Security.htm Good Luck Rick B Show quote "JS" <J*@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FA26082B-9A8F-4045-9D8C-3DB4A14FD279@microsoft.com... > I have an access database and want to give table update permissions to 2 > users only.
