I and the other IT person has admin rights to all databases.  When we open
one of the databases we have to click ok on the exclusive lock warning dialog
about 30 times before we can open.  We are not trying to open in design view
(shift open).  All other users do not have this problem.  I have checked the
system.mdw and I am a part of the system.mdw file.  what could be causeing
this difficulty?  Thank you.

Do you have the Adobe Acrobat toolbar?  Disable it for Access.
