Multiple UsersI have a problem!!
I have 3 computers on my network, one is the server and the other two computers are linked to the server where my Back End database is installed the Front End Database is installed on the other two computers. When one operator is busy working on form ClientInformation the other operator can't work on the same form ClientInformation. The message that I get is the following. "Could not lock table ClientInformation; currently in use by user Admin on machine Notebook Johan" I want multiple users to work at the same time on the same tables & forms. How can I fix this. All users need read/write/create permissions on the folder where the backend
is located. -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP "johankotze via AccessMonster.com" <u46323@uwe> wrote in message news:8ac45f697a5b0@uwe...Show quoteHide quote >I have a problem!! > I have 3 computers on my network, one is the server and the other two > computers are linked to the server where my Back End database is installed > the Front End Database is installed on the other two computers. > > When one operator is busy working on form ClientInformation the other > operator can't work on the same form ClientInformation. logged into the computer with an admin account. -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP "johankotze via AccessMonster.com" <u46323@uwe> wrote in message news:8ade4c152a595@uwe...Show quoteHide quote > Hi Joan how do I set it. > > Joan Wild wrote: >>All users need read/write/create permissions on the folder where the >>backend >>is located. >> >>>I have a problem!! >>> I have 3 computers on my network, one is the server and the other two >>[quoted text clipped - 10 lines] >>> I want multiple users to work at the same time on the same tables & >>> forms. >>> How can I fix this. > > -- > Message posted via AccessMonster.com > http://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/access-security/200809/1 >
