Retrieving User E-mail addressUsing Access 2007.
Is there an example to show how one can get the e-mail address for a user from Active Directory. Importing activeds.tlb into access - but unable to find documentation to describe the features of this library. Any help is appreciated. Just seems when I need a solution in a timely fashion - nothing to be
provided by MS support staff. I've researched - and found solution using ADO interface to access. Microsoft RESPONSE TIME is VERY FRUSTRATION! Assuming your derogatory comments about "Microsoft RESPONSE TIME" are
because you think Microsoft mans these newsgroups, you're mistaken. Virtually all of the responses in these newsgroups are posted by unpaid volunteers. And not receiving a response in two hours (and four minutes) is hardly unreasonable for these groups. If you have an MSDN subscription (and register for the service), there are a total of 200 of the Microsoft newsgroups that are monitored by Microsoft to ensure that you do receive an answer within two days. If you haven't received one in that time, then Microsoft staff will attempt to answer your question. I'll also point out that your question was posted to an inappropriate newsgroup. This newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the database product that's part of Office Professional. Access security does not interact with Active Directory, so it's not reasonable to assume that the Access security experts are also Active Directory experts. -- Doug Steele, Microsoft Access MVP http://I.Am/DougSteele (no private e-mails, please) Show quote "DavidS" <Dav***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A0C441A8-ED4D-4DDE-88CE-EE0A7DEEEF48@microsoft.com... > Just seems when I need a solution in a timely fashion - nothing to be > provided by MS support staff. > > I've researched - and found solution using ADO interface to access. > > Microsoft RESPONSE TIME is VERY FRUSTRATION! > > "DavidS" wrote: > >> Using Access 2007. >> >> Is there an example to show how one can get the e-mail address for a user >> from Active Directory.
