merging query to MS OutlookSince a recent run of updates, I can no longer merge from Word, using an
Access query, to my Outlook email program without the following warning: -- "A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook ....." (which they're not)...."This could be a virus ...blah, blah" I then have to give permission separately for each and every address it tries to merge. To send out large email lists, this can take forever, waiting to click 'yes' for every email I want to send. It has something to do with IMAP but we can't find a way to change it anywhere. ??? Is this an Outlook problem or an Access problem? Lisa at Theatre BC Lisa, this is neither an outlook or an access problem. This is a built-in
security feature. I believe there is a program out there that might assist the user, but again using this program poses a security risk by allowing automated emails to be sent without the user's intervention. I think it's called ClickYes. I'd be somewhat skeptical about a program like this as there are a lot of sketchy people out there looking to utilize your email. makes it so you don't have to keep clicking for the rest of that instance of email. You can select 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes...whatever. Hope this helps a little.
