Access 2003 requires password to create a new blank databaseI have an issue where Access 2003 requires password to create a new blank
database. Also, when I try to open an existing .mdb file I'm prompted for a password. My windows login is autofilled for the username. I tried my windows logon password but no luck. I have all of the latest service packs and patches. Any idea what could be causing this? Hi.
> Any idea what could be causing this? Yes. You're joined to a workgroup that has the password set for the default Admin user. Either you can join a workgroup where the password isn't set, or you can remove the password if you're joined to the default workgroup.
