Access 2003 requires password to create a new blank database

I have an issue where Access 2003 requires password to create a new blank
database. Also, when I try to open an existing .mdb file I'm prompted for a
password. My windows login is autofilled for the username. I tried my windows
logon password but no luck. I have all of the latest service packs and
patches. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi.

Yes.  You're joined to a workgroup that has the password set for the default
Admin user.  Either you can join a workgroup where the password isn't set,
or you can remove the password if you're joined to the default workgroup.
