I have been receiving messages from Michael Tapp @ cablespeed.com and they
are always Microsoft related.  Does he work for you and why am I getting them?

We don't work for Microsoft, or at least most of us don't, and visits from
employees are not that common here. Even if they were I don't suppose they
all know each other.

Most likely you are receiving letters urging you to install some network
security patch, and these are most certainly a virus... MS NEVER send
anything by email unless you are on one of their mailing lists and then it
has a PGP signature on it for verification.

Visit the Windows update site for patches, never install anything from
emails, and the name is probably just faked by the virus.

Don't use a real email address in newsgroups or any place you are not doing
business properly with, that's two ways you can get sent this kind of junk.
