I have changed the settings within a database allowing it to be an
application.  With this feature the entire database has become read-only,
most of the features that allow you to develop the database and forms have
disappeared.

What must I do to rollback this situation, taking into account that I have
very little control in terms of configuration with the database?

Have you tried holding the shift key down when you open it?
