Stolen computer... is it trackable?I just got my laptop stolen, can it be identified if it connects to the
internet (has a Firewall installed)? Is it sciencefiction? You bet it can be tracked -- as long as a tracking application has been
installed on the computer before the theft. It's too late now (the FBI reports that 97% of stolen computers are never returned to their rightful owners), but take a look at laptop security software for your next laptop: Absolute Software's Computrace program: http://www.absolute.com CyberAngel Security Solutions http://www.sentryinc.com Stealth Signal http://www.stealthsignal.com/www BTW, this is a newsgroup for discussions on Security for Microsoft Access, the database application, not computer security, so you might find better recommendations if you post your question to a relevant newsgroup. HTH. Gunny See http://www.QBuilt.com for all your database needs. See http://www.Access.QBuilt.com for Microsoft Access tips.
