I encrypted some file in xp, unfortunatly I had to reinstall xp due to a
program error. Now I can no longer gain access to the files is there any way
to remove the encryption? any help would be helpful.

If you could push a few buttons to decrypt the file - what would be the
value of encrypting it, in the first place? The fundamental nature of
encryption is, that you can not decrypt the data, unless you have the

I know you can't believe everything you read. But, I think I once read that
if an encrypted file is copied to a FAT32 partition in a shared folder and
copied from that shared folder to another computer from the computer to
receive the file encryption is striped off. *I think* Now there may be
more to this but that's all I remember.
