2007 users cannot open secured 2003 databaseI have read through some of the older threads regarding the issue I am having but it seems like I have the shortcut correct and the 2007 users still cannot view the database. Here is the situation: I am working in Access 2003 and created a secured database in this program. I then put a link to the location of the secured database shortcut on an SharePoint site so that users in different divisions within my company could access the database. Everything works like a charm for the majority of the users but there is one division who has been upgraded to Office 2007. The users in this division cannot view the database. When they click the link to the shortcut, nothing happens. I have read that you can open Access 2003 databases in Access 2007 so I am assuming (and from threads) that the problem lies with the the shortcut. The following path is in the target field of the shortcut: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\ MSACCESS.EXE" "M:\Apps\Database\SharePoint Databases\Booked Orders\Booked Orders DB 48.mdb" /WRKGRP "M:\Apps\Database\SharePoint Databases\Booked Orders\Security.mdw" The following path is in the Start In field: "M:\Apps\Database\SharePoint Databases\Booked Orders\" Another fact that might be worth mentioning is that we are a blade system not regular PCs. Any suggestions to help me to get these 2007 users to be able to open the database would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Sorry, I don't have Access 2007 installed on this machine, but I would
expect that the executable would be "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12\MSACCESS.EXE" -- Show quoteHide quoteDoug Steele, Microsoft Access MVP http://I.Am/DougSteele (no private e-mails, please) "AccessIM" <Acces***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:73FB72FF-CDBB-4365-9F70-AD65356598AB@microsoft.com... > Hi All- > > I have read through some of the older threads regarding the issue I am > having but it seems like I have the shortcut correct and the 2007 users > still > cannot view the database.
