Wireless clients can't aquire ip addressi have implemented IAS with PEAP. I followed the instructions from Microsoft. All my IAS Server have their certificates. In eventlog i can see that clients can authenticate themselve without problems. But when the notebooks started they can't get an ip address and get a private one from microsoft (169*). The funny fact is that when these notebooks are wired connected they get an ip address for the WLAN interface !! I have 8 IAS servers (each office). The access points are AP530 from HP. I can't configure a dhcp relay host. (was mentioned in several posts) There are no VLANs (yet). Authentication is with Username. Encryption is WPA (TKIP). I also tried to analyze with wireshark. But i cant see anything suspicious. The client sends dhcp request and the server responds, but the ip address isn't applied. Does anyone experienced this ? I will try to replace one of the APs in the next weeks. Any help is appreciated Stephan Sorry, but this newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the
database product that's part of Office Professional. You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to networking. -- Show quoteHide quoteDoug Steele, Microsoft Access MVP http://I.Am/DougSteele (no private e-mails, please) "Stephan G" <sga***@web.de> wrote in message news:edPwfb99JHA.1492@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Hello, > > i have implemented IAS with PEAP.
