Read-Only Database!Dear Reader,
I created a database in Access 2007 and shared it over the network, however I am the only one supposed to update, modify and change database and would like just others just to read the database; how can I make the database read-only on the network and be able to change it on my end? Please help. Thank you "Olivier" <Oliv***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message The easiest way would be to use file permissions to grant read only access news:1FF5110B-6379-410C-83A5-4B7544ACEC0A@microsoft.com... > Dear Reader, > > I created a database in Access 2007 and shared it over the network, > however > I am the only one supposed to update, modify and change database and would > like just others just to read the database; how can I make the database > read-only on the network and be able to change it on my end? After I
upgraded it to sp3, I didn't use it much so it took me a while to realize Windows XP sp3 doesn't have security in the file properties window anymore.
