Access 2007 -> /pwd -> how to work around?Hi!
I have a accdb that is password protected. As I have understood, in older versions it was possible to use /pwd in shortcuts, but as I have understood it's not possible longer with the 07. The thing is, I have a encrypted .exe (password dialog) file that starts the accdb. I also have encrypt both FE and BE, and with the older access versions I just use the /pwd command in the short cut inside the .exe file and everything worked perfect. Is there any way to get the password passed to access now with out user interaction? Best regards Tormod Norway The /pwd switch was for user-level security, not the database password.
You can still use your older version secured mdb in 2007; just keep it in the mdb format. Ohh.. That's to bad! Is there any way a can pass along the pwd thenin 07? (Not user level). If there is no other way, could it be done in Windows Registry or something? Best regrads Tormod Not that I'm aware of.
