enabling macrosHi,
I am making a database which is going to be posted on a web page for people to download onto their computers. Is there a way to prevent the message that says that the macros have been disabled when they open the database and to keep the macros enabled? I know how to enable macros when I receive the message by selecting this through the the office button. Is there a way to keep this setting checked when opening the database on a different computer? Thanks. I think macros are enabled when the file is digitally signed and the user
trusts the certificate, but without that, security in Access 2007 prevents the developer from bypassing security on the user's pc. If the user opens the db file with an earlier version of Access, code will run without warning the user - except 2003. Macro security and sandbox mode need to be set to allow unsafe expressions to run without being blocked.
