You do not have the necessary permissions to use the
object. Have your syi was using access 2000 from start to create a database but somewhere in the middle i have installed access 2003 and continue working with my database. in a order to prevent appearing that security warning window on the start i run security wizard . and didn't manage to find anything about but i accidenttly created a workgroup . on the security wizard i was only clicking next ,next and i didn't set any password. but it seems that the wizard has made security. mdw file and a shortcut for my database from where i was able to start my database, and a logon screen was appearing with only my username "alek" and no password and with only clicking OK my database was opening with full permissions. but somehow i have deleted the security file and now this message appears You do not have the necessary permissions to use the
object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you. (Error 3033) i went to as many forums about this problem and i have tried many things like creating new mdw file with full permissions for admins and users , i have created user "alek" in this new file and give him admin rights , and then joined this file to my database through shortcut "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Documents and Settings\alek\Desktop\ potsetnik1.0.mdb" /WRKGRP "C:\Documents and Settings\alek\Desktop\security1. mdw" /user "alek" . but nothing helped. Look for a file in the same folder with the same name as your db but with the
extension .bak. That should be a backup file of your original db before the security wizard went to work on it. If that didn't get created or got deleted too, you have a problem. You need the secure workgroup file to open your secure db. Did you try undeleting the file from your recycle bin? Did the mdw file get backed up before you deleted it? If you can't undelete it and you don't have a backup, you can recreate the secure workgroup and open your db if you know the name, organization, workgroup id, and the user name, pid and password for any member of the admins group. If you don't have
the db owner's info to recreate the db owner user for the recreated workgroup, you can still get into the db if you recreate a user in the admins group with the user name, pid and password. Then unsecure the db when signed in as that user. pid number but now when i'm opening new workgroup i must enter a pid number . maybe that 's the problem with this pid number Even if you recreate the same user with the same name, pid and password in a
new workgroup, it won't let you open the secure db because the user must be a member of the workgroup that was used to secure the db. You don't have the right secure workgroup file anymore. Don't you have an older backup of the db from before you tried to secure it? time before i deleted mdw file but that isn't working again and i deleted also backup files (such a dumb) because i was thinking they were made after a restore . i tried to make a new workgroup with alek as admin and no password like the original but it doesn't works again Restoring Windows only restores certain files and I don't think workgroup
files fall into that category. If you create a new workgroup, it's not the same as the original workgroup unless you use the exact same name, organization, workgroup id as the original. You need the same workgroup file as was used to secure the db if you want to open it. is to recreate mdw file and so i know username , there was no pass is there any way to see PID number that was used by security wizard because it always implement different PID 's . No, it's encrypted in the mdb and mdw files.
