cannot access shared folder on mapped network driveI have a Windows XP desktop that is mapped to a Windows 2003 Server Std that
loses shared folder/file access. When I explore my computer I see the mapped network drive in the list but cannot access the folder/files until I click on the mapped network drive letter associated to the folder/files. After the folder/files are displayed I regain access. Any ideas on what is causing this? You'd be better served posting your question in a group for your os. This
group is for Microsoft Access database security questions. And by the way, the software is setup in Access and shares the database info. I've never seen the problem you describe. I'll bet if you post your question
in a group for your os you'll find an expert who has. Chris wcdep wrote: Show quoteHide quote >> You'd be better served posting your question in a group for your os. I am just trying to resolve the problem(s) I am experiencing. Thank you for your suggestion. Access doesn't affect network settings or permissions. It only reads what's
already there - as long as the user has the permissions. If you can't find a Windows XP expert to help, try posting in the networking groups. Chris wcdep wrote: >I have tried posting to XP sites.
