How to Prevent Editing a Database?

In short, I've been trying to find a way to prevent editings on an .mdb file
by using access 2003, hopefully by a password, but unfortunately all what
I've managed to do is to put a password that is required for opening the
database (Tools=>Security=>Set Database Password), or opening "User-Level
Security Wizard" which I do not understand how it works, I hope someone can
help me out, & thank you.

Access Security is not an easy task to undertake.  I would also suggest you
create a copy before proceeding.  Start here for direction:
