Disabling the "Shift" key on database openI have figured out how to program the AllowShiftByPass to stop people from
getting in behind the forms, etc. What I need to know now is how do I get in to make design changes? Do I have to publish a protected version and keep an unprotected version on my hard drive or is there another way? Actually you shouldn't be working on the production version. You should be
working on your dev version of the db files and when everything works, protect and publish copies of them on the network for the users. You can enable/disable the shift key bypass on your dev verson db with Albert Kallal's tool. Download it from his site: http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/msaccess/msaccess.html Chris Lynda wrote: >I have figured out how to program the AllowShiftByPass to stop people from >getting in behind the forms, etc. What I need to know now is how do I get in >to make design changes?
