I have built a large database for distribution on a network. I would like to
distribute the database as an ACCDE file. However, when I try to convert the
database I get an error message saying the file was not converted. I have
split the database to make it smaller and it still will not work. Do I have
any options here?

The message I get says "Microsoft Office Access was unable to create the
..accde, .mde, or .ade filr. When I click the help button it says this error
is usually associated with compiling a large database into an MDE file.

That is usually a misleading message.   Approximately how many of each
type of object do you have in your accdb?

Have you tried compiling the code?

Did the file start out as an older version of access?
If so I would try creating a new database in 2007 and importing all the
elements of the old file.  Fix your references, relationships and try saving
as ACCDE.
