setting up permissions

Unfortunately, I used the security wizard to set up permissions for a
different user beside myself.   What a confusion.  Likely, I had a backup on
another computer.  I started all over again.   I also tried to set up
permissions on my database so there were logons, this is fine if someone is
using my computer.  But another workstation cannot access the file through
the network neighbour.

Please help.  Thanks.

Read the FAQ, then read it again, then experiment on a backup until you
fully understand the subject.  It's a complex thing to learn, be prepared
for a long haul!  There's a link to the FAQ on my web site.
