Using Access over the InternetOkay, here is the situation, our company uses a citrix access to share data
online. I have placed my database out there for company use and set up the user lever security. On my computer it works perfectly however other users are not given the log in screen. They are allowed straight in with only read only access. What is missing from their setup that allows them to get the log on screen and have the access that has been assigned to them in the security setup. -- Lori A. Pong Lori wrote:

When using a different workgroup, particularly one that doesn't prompt them to log in they should just get a "permission denied" error. If you are using Citrix you shoudl set this up as a published app that automatically launches Access with a specified workgroup file. BUT, you need to fix your security first since what you have now is useless. -- Rick Brandt, Microsoft Access MVP Email (as appropriate) to... RBrandt at Hunter dot com Will setting this up as a "published" app still allow me to make the
necessary changes? Obviously I've never had to deal with this online before only over a standard network where it worked perfectly. What is the difference in the security setup between the norm and a published app? I ran the standard security wizard and set everything up after it was uploaded onto citrix. Any recommendations would be appreciated. -- Show quoteHide quoteLori A.
