I upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 and have been using this database for
years.  Now it comes " do you want to open this file - give the file name -
unknown publisher - type microsoft acccess - from the network drive path
where it resides.  I say yes then I get  - microsoft access cannot open this
file - the file is located outside your intranet or an untrsuted site.  I
have seen this before, but it seems to be actived by the Internet Explorer 7
update.  I updated 2 computers and they both have the same problem.  I have 2
more that I didnt do the update and they work fine.

I ran into this recently myself after installing IE7 on a couple of
computers. In our case, it popped up the security message anytime we
tried to open a mdb or run an exe file from our server, but they would
run once you click thru the requestor. Took a while to find it, but I
had to go into Internet Options/Security, click on Local Intranet then
Sites, then click the Advanced button. Then I added an entry for our
server, in the form: file://servername.

Once I did this we no longer get the Open File security warning.
