Securing Database locked all sesions of AccessI have followed the Access 2002/2003 Security step by step wizard as outlined
by Joan Wild on www.jmwild.com/AccessSecurity.htm. Initially I did not change the workgroup but later on I rejoined the standard system.mdw that ships with Access. I even passed the final test of trying to open the secured mdb from windows explorer. My problem now is I cannot open any other Access databases I have as I am asked to log on. Is there something that I might have missed. Doreen You are joined by default to a workgroup file in which the Admin user has a
password set. You need to rejoin system.mdw (the one that ships with Access) and make that your default. It should not ask you for a username/password. For all Access sessions it will use this specified default mdw file. For your secure mdb, use the desktop shortcut that the wizard created for you - using the shortcut will over-ride your default mdw for that session. -- Show quoteHide quoteJoan Wild Microsoft Access MVP Doreen wrote: > I have followed the Access 2002/2003 Security step by step wizard as > outlined by Joan Wild on www.jmwild.com/AccessSecurity.htm.
