How do I find out why my file is opening as read only?

When my database file is saved on my computer I can it opens correctly (not
read only).  When I put it on the network server it will only open as read
only.  On the server I have the file shared to "Everyone" with full control.

How do I find out what the problem is?

The network was recently made to be a Domain instead of just a Workgroup.
Some of the computers veiwing this are now part of that domain and some of
them are still running on the old workgroup.  I don't know if that has
anything to do with the problem but that is about the only reason I can come
up with.

It would be great if Access would give me details of what the problem is.

Thanks in advance for your help.
