This is an known issue in Access2000, however I think it fit your problem. You can refer to this article for workaround: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/232589/en-us If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thankyou very much for the information. But the problem here is i am not the owner of the database and i dont have the password for the user who created it. is there any other way to solve the issue. there are three methods as per the article, If you are a member of the Admins group, change the permissions on the system tables to include Administer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a user named Admin who is belonging to Administer Group but i am not able to convert the database or open the database in Access 2003. Have the database owner convert the file. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As i am not the owner of the database or doesn't have the database creator password. Import the objects into a new database file. This method is the least desirable because it will remove the existing security settings from the file -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As there will be lots of security issue i am not intrested to go for this idea. can you please suggest me from the above two methods only, or guide me in any other way please. -- Show quoteHide quoteRaghuram Raichooti "Charles Wang[MSFT]" wrote: > Hi Raghuram, > > This is an known issue in Access2000, however I think it fit your problem. > You can refer to this article for workaround: > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/232589/en-us > > If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let > me know. > > Sincerely yours, > Charles Wang > Microsoft Online Community Support > ====================================================== > When responding to posts, please "Reply to Group" via > your newsreader so that others may learn and benefit > from this issue. > ====================================================== > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. > ====================================================== > > Hi Raghuram,
Hmm... , in this case, I recommend that you request a user for you to the database owner. If you can't get the permission, you may try the third method and then secure it later. Sincerely yours, Charles Wang Microsoft Online Community Support Hi,
