In Access 2003, databases are suddenly protected by passwords? After Access 2003 set up, certain databases created with the Access 97 are
suddenly protected by passwords that neither me nor my colleague have generated. We are now unable to enter these databases, because we do not know the password. Does Access generate these passwords automatically? Is there anyway to either remove the password altogether or change the password? Use the workgroup admin utility to rejoin the default "system.mdw". If "system.mdw" has been modified then re-name it. Access 2003 will create a new one if it can't find it on startup. > We are now unable to enter these databases, because we do not know No, I'm fairly sure the workgroup file has been modified or a custom > the password.
