Security Wizards in Access 2000?I have created a little database in Access 2000. I used security wizard to
try and secure the database. Now I am locked out of the database. It is sending a message that I do not have the correct permissions although I created the thing. How do I undo security wizard or restore permissions? Try renaming the workgroup file it created (the MDW file) to some other
name, so that next time you open Access, it would point to the system.mdw file and will not lock you out. I would recommend doing the security settings manually, rather than using the security wizard. This is a very good article: http://www.geocities.com/jacksonmacd/AJMAccessSecurity.pdf Hope this helps! Good luck! - Padmaja Gisselle wrote: Show quoteHide quote > I have created a little database in Access 2000. I used security wizard to > try and secure the database. The wizard may have created a desktop shortcut to launch the mdb. Try using
that to start the database. -- Show quoteHide quoteJoan Wild Microsoft Access MVP Gisselle wrote: > I have created a little database in Access 2000.
