Converting ".mdw" file to access 2003Hello,
How to convert an “.mdw†file created with Access 2002 user-security wizard to an access 2003. Any system with access 2003 installed shows the un-know icon for my security shortcut. Regards, You don't need to convert the mdw, since both 2002 and 2003 use the same
format. If your shortcut is showing 'unknown', it's likely because the path to msaccess.exe is different on the 2003 machines. Typically c:\program files\microsoft office\office10\msaccess.exe - 2002 vs c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\msaccess.exe - 2003 -- Show quoteHide quoteJoan Wild Microsoft Access MVP sap4ora wrote: > Hello, > > How to convert an ".mdw" file created with Access 2002 user-security > wizard to an access 2003. Thanks for the reply, the system doesn't allow me to change it to Access 2003 path? Message:"c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\msaccess.exe " not a valid path? I have done this on 2002 and 2003 systems and I got the same result?
