deleting microsoft access user passwordsI need to delete user passwords as the administrator on a access program, and

"Clear Password" button is greyed out, and does not allow access.... We have a program supported by microsoft access. And, now only I can access the program and the users cannot. When they attempt to they are prompted to enter a "Password" which was never setup for them. I was told because I added a "Password" on my "Admin" Account, the secured the program and now requesting users to add a password to gain access. I need to delete my password from the system, which is how we were previously.... Hopefully then the users can log in... Help !! Access User Level Security is always turned on (even out of the box on a new install). All users login as Admin, and the Admin has a blank password. Your info is correct - adding a password to the Admin user causes everyone to have to login. Did you create a new workgroup file when you were playing around with security? Are you joined to that file (you can check this by opening Access and clicking Tools - Security - Workgorup Administrator)? If you are, try to Join the system.mdw file ... this may solve your problems. Users will all have a blank password ... you can remove security, but the easiest way (assuming you used the Wizard) is to use the backup created by the wizard ... should be in the same directory as the original file.
